Pronovias 2019 Spring Bridal Collection: In Bloom
It’s a pretty all-star day when we see 2 glorious wedding dresses in a row… well try 39! Pronovias overwhelmed us at Barcelona Fashion Week, where they unveiled their 2019 bridal collection for the first time. When we heard the name “In Bloom”, we knew some petal power was in store. We had no idea just how enchanting an indoor garden could be – especially when every inch is teeming with high fashion brides in romantic wedding gowns. Let’s take a peek, shall we?
Pronovias describes this collection as “an analogy for blooming gardens in which different elements live in perfect harmony and branch out in all their splendor, and where natural beauty, light and color fill every corner. The new proposals, inspired by new beginnings surrounded by fresh and wonderful flowers that invite brides to dream on their big day.” Who knew they were poets too?
There were mesmerizing elements all around as breezy gowns fluttered in from every winding path, across the sweetheart bridge and beneath an oversized cherry blossom tree.
We should warn you that we left our chill at the door. In true Wilson Phillips fashion, Pronovias took the “break free, break from the chains” road, and we are left with a magnificent display of innovative designs. Sexy transparencies, powdered colors, ombré fabrics, plunging necklines, open backs and floral appliqués where you’d least expect them.
Oh Hechizo, there’s just no getting over you! Not with that mermaid silhouette and those off-the-shoulder petal straps, anyways.
And then there was Hierba, boasting asymmetrical chiffon appliqués and that sexy tattoo effect that’s taking the bridal fashion world by storm.
Plunging draped neckline, layers and layers of tulle, and a blush ombré effect that has our heads spinning? This is the first time Pronovias has used color in one of their bridal collections, and we hope it’s not the last!
How amazing is it that actress + model, Blanca Romero, walked the runway next to her #IRL daughter Lucía?! The crowd. went. wild.
We were simply floored by this sheer bridal lace jumpsuit complete with dramatic cape.
Celebrating surprises, this collection is nothing short of a delight. We couldn’t choose a favorite if we tried – each design is a breathtaking work of art that left us speechless.
