An Intimate Santorini Wedding That Redefines Luxury
We often dream of Santorini’s picturesque cliffside dotted with white and blue buildings, so it’s no wonder why Sarah & Justin decided to fly from Australia to have their intimate wedding in Santorini. We are glued to our screens with every luxe detail designed by Stella & Moscha Weddings that’s overflowing with peonies, roses and hydrangeas. From the planner + designer, Stella & Moscha Weddings: Santorini is definitely one of the most impressive places on earth. But being a volcanic island comes with a few surprises and as event planners we do admit that the weather surprises are the only ones we cannot control. On Sarah and Justin’s wedding day the most imposing yet atmospheric mist creeped up the caldera and created a breathtaking scenery just before the ceremony.
As with all inspects in life, attitude is key and our couple’s positive thinking blew the mist away shortly after. The weather did not daunt us or the staff of the luxurious Grace Hotel, and the amazing Phosart team saw it as an opportunity to capture truly spectacular moments.
Wedding Wish created a stunning design with luscious peonies and abundant candle light and completed the perfect dinner setting for the bride, groom and their lovely guests.
From the bride: Coming all the way to Santorini from Australia for our destination wedding was certainly challenging, but well worth the effort and honestly a dream come true. We chose Santorini as we wanted a small, intimate wedding in a magical location, which is very different to where we live. Our wedding planners, Stella and Moscha were incredible and handled everything with such poise and confidence, the day was better than we could have ever of imagined.
We chose Grace Hotel Santorini as our venue, and couldn’t have been more impressed. The hotel was stunning, every bit 5-star, intimate, opulent and had the most amazing landscape and backdrop, perfect for our wedding. The food and beverage manager, Maria from Grace Hotel also allowed us the opportunity to treat our guests to a full degustation menu, which was important to us (being Foodies) and was just spectacular.
Stella and Moscha assisted immensely with the styling, flowers and decor arrangement for the wedding, we selected a natural theme, choosing white roses, leafy greens and lanterns to keep it in line with the venue, the Island and the surroundings. Our photographers/videographers were Phosart Cinematography, we couldn’t rate them high enough, they truly captured the magical essence of the day. If we could do it all again tomorrow, we would be back in Santorini in a heart beat.
