Equestrian Wedding Inspiration with Earthy Tones
Well guys, today’s equestrian wedding inspiration from Delaney Dobson Photography is nothing short of ah-mazing. Colorful fall foliage spills across the stable ceremony and velvet details become warm fuzzies in every sense of the word, plus we’ve got the sweetest grooms modeling. Speaking of warmth, we are obsessed with this color palette: copper, blue, mustard, dusty rose, and terracotta tones… throw in some foraged + wild floral arrangements et voila, a beautiful fall wedding is born. You’ll want to take note of this fine art fete, so get your pinning hands ready.
From the photographer, Delaney Dobson Photography: Having a wedding on a working farm may seem difficult, but for our grooms, it was worth the work. The Aliquippa Stables of Malvern, Pennsylvania truly encompasses a rustic charm that was perfect for our inner-equestrians!. With land that spreads for miles, space gave us the ability to create an organically beautiful wedding highlighting the natural landscape. Expansive horse fields, wheat-filled meadows and a dramatic weeping willow set the scene for their wedding reverie.
Below a billowing arch bursting with fall foliage, the couple exchanged their vows with their canine companions at their sides. Joyful neighing from the horses inside the barn was the perfect ceremony send-off. As the day continued, all in attendance were treated to a spread of contemporary countryside cuisine featuring roasted carrots, baked macaroni and gouda, cranberry pork loin, and wild rice filled pumpkins. A muted dusty rose linen sat underneath vivid florals of eucalyptus green and pale orange, where copper flatware bounced their hues in every which direction. Leather-wrapped menus, pairing with a tiny pink bloom, topped each place setting. Florals in subtle pinks, yellows and burgundy spilled over the table in a dramatic display.
An impressive display of chocolate cakes, accented with delicate sugar flowers sat upon rustic barrels and proved almost too pretty to eat. By using professionally crafted backdrops throughout, we were able to add to the landscape with soft pinks and golds behind the cake and a leathery chocolate backdrop for our groom’s portraits.
We dressed the gentlemen in what came naturally to them…layers of comfy fabrics including corduroy, soft knits and tweeds. The less formal approach to their wardrobe mirrored the approachable but beautiful setting.
