A Whimsical Martha’s Vineyard Wedding with Bubbles and Bliss

Marthas Vineyard Wedding

Welcome to the most whimsical wedding of the year, Martha’s Vineyard style! This beautiful island off the coast of Massachusetts is known for its stunning beaches, charming towns, and of course, its idyllic wedding venues. But what sets this wedding apart from the rest? Well, let’s just say the happy couple made their exit in a way that can only be described as bubbly…literally! All captured by Jessica K Feiden, planned by Plan It MV  with floral design by Aubrey Maria Design.

When Carolyn and Robert met, he was living and working on Martha’s Vineyard, and she was spending her free time at her parent’s apartment on the island. Allegedly, Robert had his eye on Carolyn ever since catching her sunbathing one afternoon.

A double date was arranged on the harbor, where Robert pulled a few strings and scored Carolyn some fries after the kitchen at the restaurant had closed. It was meant to be. The two were later engaged in Plymouth, Massachusetts.

This is where Robert grew up and where his parents still live. Even though Carolyn checked all his jacket pockets and was on high alert that a proposal might be soon, she was completely surprised.

Carolyn and Robert’s invites and stationery included a custom map of Martha’s Vineyard for guests to use and enjoy as a keepsake.

The ceremony was held at the Old Whaling Church, and after exchanging their vows and sealing their love with a kiss, the newlyweds made their grand exit through a sea of bubbles. It was a whimsical and fun-filled moment that perfectly captured the couple’s playful and carefree spirit.

As guests blew bubbles and cheered them on, the bride and groom giggled and danced their way through the bubble-filled path, leaving a trail of joy in their wake. It was a moment that no one will soon forget and one that perfectly embodied the joy and happiness that comes with a wedding celebration.

Hoping to create a day of ease, comfort, and elegance, this wedding focused on bringing a colorful and coastal spirit to their guests.

Moving to the reception at the historic Daniel Fisher House, the party honors the stunning outdoor gardens.

They chose to extend the cocktail hour for guests to savor the excellent food and drink on the lawns without feeling rushed.

A vivid pastel color palette complimented the nautical ocean blues, as the natural greenery spoke to the ease of the day.

Carolyn even made a quick outfit change into the sweetest mini dress and sneakers. It’s undeniable that her ‘love’ printed socks and the couple’s easygoing energy kept spirits lifted into the night.
